Hawkhead Hospital, Paisley was constructed in 1936 in the Modern Style and stands today as a historically and culturally significant group of buildings designed by Thomas Smith Tait - the most significant Scottish Architect of the inter-war period.
The buildings became surplus to requirements, and in some cases derelict, and are being restored and converted by The Burrell Company to highly individual homes.
The designs, undertaken with the award winning Elder and Cannon Architects of Glasgow, foresee some fine houses and apartments, set within mature landscape grounds on the edge of Paisley. With the proposals presently working through the stages of Planning and Listed Building Consents, it is envisaged that the first sales will become available in 2007. Much heralded, this scheme is likely to be one of the most desirable areas to live in Paisley.
The overall site is a joint project with Keir Homes.
Coming Soon Early 2010.
