Leading regeneration specialist The Burrell Company is celebrating 25 years of property development this week with the launch of their exhibition 'Burrellopolis, The Burrell Company 25 Years' at The Lighthouse, Scotland's national Architecture and Design Centre
The exhibition, located in the 3rd and 5th floor circulation spaces, opens on Friday 24 August and runs until Sunday 7 October 2007. It showcases the company's role and dedication to transforming Scotland's urban landscape. It highlights their remarkable portfolio of projects over the last quarter of a century exhibiting some of their high profile developments including Edinburgh's Parliament Square and Glasgow's Piping Centre amongst many others.
As part of the 25 year celebration, The Burrell Company has also published a book 'The Burrell Company - The First 25 Years'. Editor, Neil Baxter was specially commissioned to write the book about the company's involvement in the changing face of Scotland's property market and unveils their inspiration for creating some of the country's most talked about buildings.
Andrew Burrell, managing director and founder of The Burrell Company said: "I am excited about the exhibition and the publication of the book which charts the life of the company.

"The book and exhibition won't just appeal to lovers of architecture and design, but will also present an historical journey through some of the structural changes particularly experienced in Glasgow and Edinburgh over the past 25 years.
"It's also a great opportunity to celebrate with our colleagues at Burrell and professionals with whom we have worked alongside over the years to take a look back and reminisce on some of our achievements."
Andrew Burrell established The Burrell Company in 1982 and since its inception, the award-winning company has built, converted and restored for residential, retail, office, leisure and educational use.
As well as specialising in the restoration and conversion of older buildings, the company has also earned a reputation for contemporary developments regenerating city centre areas helping create new and exciting places to live, work and relax.
Working alongside many partner organisations The Burrell Company boasts a number of awards including Civic Trust, RIBA Architecture Award, RIAS Regeneration Award, Saltire Award and Scottish Design Awards.
